Sunday in London and a walk to the sunny serpentine galleries.
Das Institut – two artists – Kerstin Brätsch and Adele Röder. Their eclectic work filled the space with great wit. Their large cyanotypes on fabric were a great update on the Rauschenberg originals, with a process of capture being used many others including lindsay Duncanson most recently in the woods near Keilder. Other works combined sound and slideshow, glass with packaging, photoshop and projection. The lack of restraint was electric and I particularly appreciated the artists’ ability to present multi layered collaborative work without overarching narrative and so create a multilayered experience that filled the quite awkward and characterful spaces of the Serpentine Sackler galleries.
